Mounted on a fixed surface, these electro-magnetic door retainers ensure retention of the door by means of a small metallic keeper plate.
They are designed to hold open fire doors and are ideally suited for hospitals, schools and other public buildings. In a fire situation the doors can be released automatically via a connection to the fire alarm system or manually by operating the release button.
Note: You may need a separate 24v dc power supply to power the door retainers, most fire panels will power approx 2/3 retainers providing that the aux 24v supply on the panel is not being used for other ancillary equipment, check with the panel manufacturer for 24v aux power supply and aux fire contact ratings.
